Tough Guy!

The best part about my birding trip up in Algonquin Park last weekend was not a bird, but running into this little fuzzball ;-) This guy is a American/Pine Marten and may in fact be the cutest mammal I've ever seen!
I've only photographed this species once before and it was a fair distance away. This one was super playful and came within 15 feet of us on several occasions, mainly due to there being a chunk of moose carcass close by that he was protecting from the local birds ;-)
